MILFORD TWP., Pa. -
A family of four was found dead of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning inside a home in Bucks County late Monday night, state police said.
Officials said they received a call around 11:20 p.m. to check on the welfare of the residents of a home in the 1500 block of Kumry Road in Milford Township.
When they arrived at the home, police said there were high levels of carbon monoxide inside. They subsequently found a car running in the attached garage, and the garage door was closed.
Members of the family, identified as Gary Reitnauer, 59; Michele Reitnauer, 58; Yun Jiao Cao (Kimberly), 16; and Jamie Hongfan Reitnauer, 10, were found in or near the garage, officials said.
State police are not seeking any suspects, and there is no danger to the public, said Lt. Vincent D'Angelo.
Authorities haven't determined when the car was left running and whether it was accidental or intentional.
The investigation continues pending a determination of the cause and manner of deaths for the four victims, state police said.
The two children were students in the Quakertown Area School District, according to the district's website.
